Inventory taken and the mock-up commences

Inventory taken and the mock-up commences

First to check if I have everything!

OK, so I'm a few days slow with the blog. I actually ticked off everything on the inventory list last Sunday. In short - everything is there!

So what did I start with? Here's an extract of my BoM.

Yes, the devil is in the detail...

In my book, the difference between good and great is in the detail. So here it is!

The Frame - Specs

Part Number - TT-K15073
A Softail frame (EVO model), because there is just so many parts available for the EVO. Parts from 1984 - 1999 will fit this easy. Is a heavy/ strong frame. Definitely not a light weight European frame, which will come in handy when I drop an engine that can develop 150/160HP! Maybe even nitrous! Mmmm, nitrous!
  1. 230-250 Tyre fitment (I have a 240mm)
  2. 1 1/4" tubing
  3. 34 Deg rake, 2" stretch
  4. Comes with the rear section assembly and 1" axle kit
Here is the main part of the frame mounted and strapped down to my bike lift

The Front Suspension - Specs

Part Number - ATT-FS1004
First mistake made here. Due to some mix-up in the ordering (no one's fault), I thought I had he black and chrome version coming my way. Instead the full chrome version arrived. It looks great, don't get me wrong, its just way too much chrome (for my build).

Note the black and chrome version on my first page. That is the one I am after.

The Rear Suspension - Specs

Part Number - (part of main frame assembly)
1" axle kit included. at first not exactly sure which way this thing adjoined the main frame, but after some study as to how the shock absorbers attach to the rear frame, it was pretty straightforward.
Here it is mounted to the frame, with rear axle in place. Note: Spacers on the rear axle (all part of the kit). Cool!
