The Tyres are mounted!!
They look fantastic. Exactly what I was after. Take a look.Specs
Rear is a 18" x 8.5" with a mounted 240mm Metzeler, the front is a 21" x 3.5" with a mounted 120/70V21 tyre. This bike will just say Easy Rider :-) when rolling.Front Forks
Well the all chrome one's are on their way back to Victoria. In place the black/ chrome version should be in my greasy hands early next week. I can't wait to get the new springer front-end mounted.Mock-up Prep
Firstly the frame. Not sure if I should powder-coat it and then perform the mock-up or do that after, obviously protecting the fresh new coating from knocks etc.Thoughts?
I also need to place an order for brake rotors and the rear drive pulley... to get started on the alignment. From everything I've seen and read, the alignment is critical to balance, drive and wear of components. Common-sense really. Spacers came with the rear axle, and my frame along with the 240 rear are setup so the drive will be on the LHS (rear brake on the RHS). No overall balance or alignment issues. (that was planned by the way!).
